Halo Waypoint – Our Official Review

If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out 343 Industries and Microsoft Game Studios newest destination in the Halo world, then you haven’t seen anything yet. Just in case you needed more proof that 343 Industries was overseeing all Halo products, Halo Waypoint is the first and only place where your next gen Halo games can come together as one. Halo Waypointcombines Halo 3, (the non-Bungie) Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST into one giant gaming conquest.

Halo Waypoint is broken down into two major categories: Intel and Career. Intel features a “What’s New” section that places Halo’s hottest news on your HD TV screen. Watch video, check out screenshots, and read up on the hottest new intel Halo Wapoint can offer. There is also an Archive location, which contains older material such as community based screenshots and videos from past videogame expos. Halo Wars: Cutscene 1

If you have played Halo Wars, you know that is is the best console RTS game ever. Not only is it constant action featuring your favorite Halo vehicles, but it is quite challenging as well. The Halo Wars graphics also set it apart from other RTS by featuring HD cutscenes with incredible detail and action. If you have not had a chance to play the game, it is worth a rental even just to watch each cutscene. If you can’t afford to rent it, or just want to watch the videos, that is what we are for. The Hottest Halo Player on the Planet?

When I come across pictures of hot girls playing Halo, it is embedded in my male DNA to share them with all of you.

The above gamer girl, Amanda Johnstone from South London, says says she loves “being snuggled up in bed with her Xbox controller, playing Halo to help take her away from her daily stresses.”

Now while anyone can agree the this girl is clearly hot (minus the ridiculously large and distorted feet) but we can argue that she is an actual gamer. (more…)

Halo Wars: New Game, New Format, New Studio

With the release of Halo Wars on March 3rd, 2009, the world finds a new way to stop the Covenant’s attack on human life. Ensemble Studios teamed up with Microsoft to release this Real Time Strategy (RTS) specifically and exclusively for the Xbox 360. Unlike many other RTS games in the past where button layouts were more geared to PC play, this game is formatted to work with the Xbox 360 in mind. (more…)

Halo 3’s  picks up 2 weeks after the end of Halo 2. The story centers on the interstellar war between 26th century humanity, led by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC), and a collection of alien races known as the Covenant. Like in Halo 2, The Arbiter is on our side, this time fighting right along with us. Unlike Halo 2, we only play as Master Chief John 117, battling what’s left of the Covenant, the Flood and ending up blasting 343 Guilty Spark with a Spartan Laser to the face. (more…)
