Halo Waypoint – Our Official Review

If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out 343 Industries and Microsoft Game Studios newest destination in the Halo world, then you haven’t seen anything yet. Just in case you needed more proof that 343 Industries was overseeing all Halo products, Halo Waypoint is the first and only place where your next gen Halo games can come together as one. Halo Waypointcombines Halo 3, (the non-Bungie) Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST into one giant gaming conquest.

Halo Waypoint is broken down into two major categories: Intel and Career. Intel features a “What’s New” section that places Halo’s hottest news on your HD TV screen. Watch video, check out screenshots, and read up on the hottest new intel Halo Wapoint can offer. There is also an Archive location, which contains older material such as community based screenshots and videos from past videogame expos. Halo Waypoint Is Live!

The time is here, and Halo Waypoint is now up and running on Xbox LIVE. All you need to do to join into the fun is locate the free download from your Xbox LIVE Dashboard, and there you have it. Not only does Halo Waypoint place all of your Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Halo 3: ODST achievements all in one place, but it also gives you some Halo themed milestones. Once you have scanned in your achievements, Halo Waypoint also gives you some nice Avatar awards including: ODST and Recon Helmets, ODST Armor, and even 343 Guilty Spark. Thank you Microsoft and 343 Industries for this new addition to our favorite video game franchise!
