The highly classified bio-augmentation procedure is a Spartan candidates final and most difficult ordeal before joining the ranks of the legendary soldiers. The dramatic interpretation of Carters rebirth as a Spartan embodies the themes of courage, sacrifice and honor in Halo: Reach and gives viewers a unique look into the origins of a central character in the upcoming blockbuster game.
Welcome to Noble Team.
When Halo 3 was released in 2007, the game was available in three versions: a $60 regular version, $70 limited edition and a $130 Legendary edition. Now leaked scans are showing that Halo: Reach will follow suit in offering up a trifecta of Halo: Reach goodies when they are shipped out this fall. The scans are reportedly of an upcoming retail flyer that shows the three products, albeit without any price points.
However, one of the deal-sleuths over at Cheap Ass Gamer apparently received even more information via a Best Buy insert that will appear in newspapers starting Sunday, April 25. Though the poster did not include a scan of the image, he did say the standard edition would sell for $60, the limited edition for $80, and the legendary edition for $150. (more…)
Now you can play with Veronica Dare in the bathtub! That’s right folks, Todd McFarlane has done it again, and dropped a sick set of 8 new Halo action figures, and a weapon pack for his Series 7 launch of McFarlane Halo Toys. This assortment includes characters from the Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Wars video games. Included in this release are Chieftain Tartarus, Veronica Dare and Sergeant Forge. We also see new color variations of some of our favorites like Hayabusa and Security. Also included in this release is the first weapons pack we have seen since Series 5. Unfortunately the weapons pack is exactly the same as the one launched back in 2009, and like the White/Red Mark V Spartan, will be exclusive to Target stores only. Gamestop gets exclusive rights to the Steel Hayabusa, packing a UNSC Rocket Launcher, while Toys ‘R Us holds onto the Orange Security Spartan. Check out the gallery below for the full assortment. What do you get when you cross a nice motivational song by Eminem and Nate Dogg with some sweet Halo 3 action? Well it is obvious you get this montage video staring Cydronix, as he dominates a variety of playlists and maps. Doesn’t hurt that the video is shot in oh so nice HD, and is nicely edited. Think you stand a chance? (more…)

You can take the Halo: Reach Beta for a test run yourself in May with access through your copy of Halo 3: ODST. Back in February, Microsoft’s X10 expo shared with the gaming world a preview of what was to come with Halo: Reach. Gamespot (not to be confused with Gamestop) got in on the action, and talked with creative director Marcus Lehto of Bungie. No new game footage, but a whole new interview. We learn that Elites will be available in multiplayer, and word on the street is Bungie fixed the hitbox issue with their heads, so it will not be so hard to drop these alien bastards. We also learn that all of the multiplayer maps will be variations of playable maps throughout the campaign. This is very much like the Firefight mode we all loved in Halo 3: ODST, and unlike anything we have seen in the previous standalone Halo games. Check out the video and tell us what you think of these new improvements.
What do you get when you cross a ridiculously talented keyboardist, the Halo theme song and Youtube? By far one of the coolest videos I have ever seen. My mind has been blown, my jaw has dropped to the grown, and I need a nap. Crank the headphones for this one, trust us, it is worth it. Marty O’Donnell would be proud.
